Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor WALNUT - An older woman was likely followed home from a Rowland Heights bank by three men and robbed after she was pepper sprayed, deputies said Thursday. The robbery occurred in the 700 block of Francesca Drive around 1:30 p.m. February 7. The woman was followed home and as was attacked as she exited her vehicle, according to Sgt. Avila of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Walnut/Diamond Bar Station. The victim lives in a gated community off of Francesca Drive and was followed to her garage, Avila said.
The suspects fled in a black Mercedez, Avila said. Avila declined to say what was taken from the woman. The victim was hospitalized for eye and facial irritation, Avila said. The suspects were described as three Hispanic men, 5 feet 3 inches tall, all were slim and weighed 130 to 150 pounds. All three suspects wore black clothing and bright, colored beanies, deputies said in a crime broadcast. |
