The shooting took place in the 8800 block of Marshall Street around 9:27 p.m. The victim was transported to an area trauma center for treatment, according to Dispatch Supervisor Miguel Ornelas of the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
The victim’s wounds are not considered life-threatening, according to Lt. Frank Ruiz of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Temple Station. A Hispanic man appearing in his late 40s was found down behind a business in the 9000 block of Garvey Avenue around 10:30 p.m. Medics declared the man dead at the scene, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau. It is unclear if a suspect description is known.

A suspect remains outstanding after deputies responded to the 9000 block of Garvey Avenue March 12 at 10:41 p.m. The department’s Homicide Bureau is investigating, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau. It is unclear if the suspect died at the scene or at a hospital. No suspect description was given.

LOS ANGELES - Detectives have released footage of the suspect and his accomplices involved in a shooting outside a Rosemead restaurant last September.
The shooting took place outside the All-In Crab, 8966 Garvey Ave., around 8:40 p.m. September 21, 2018. The victim, a 25-year-old Chinese man, was pulled into a car and taken away from the scene after being shot multiple times. He sustained life-altering injuries, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
A 31-year-old male friend of the victim was chased through the parking lot by the suspect and fired upon, but escaped injury. A 26-year-old friend of the victim was fired upon as well, but was also uninjured, deputies said.
The shootings resulted from a minor verbal altercation at the All-In Crab. Once the suspects left the restaurant, the violence began, deputies said. The suspect was accompanied by three women in their 20s. They entered a black four-door sedan and fled the scene. The gunfire occurred in the 8600 block of Fern Avenue around 6:50 p.m. October 9. Several 9-millimeter shell casings were recovered at the scene, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Temple Station. The four suspects, described as Hispanic men between 18 and 20 years old, fled in a white, newer-model, four-door car, which sped east on Fern Avenue. Two of the men wore black shirts, the other wore white shirts. The victim, only described as a Asian man, was pulled into a car and taken away from the scene, according to a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Temple Station crime broadcast. The suspect fired three gunshots at the victim, who was found at an area hospital. The victim is listed in stable condition, according to Lt. Carrasco of the Sheriff’s Temple Station. The suspect may have been accompanied by three females. All four fled east through the All-In Crab parking lot and out of view. A motive for the shooting remains unknown, Carrasco said. The suspect is described as Hispanic or white man, 25 years old. He wore a white shirt, black pants and he carried a black semi-automatic handgun, deputies said. The suspect fled in a black sedan. The man was discovered by a Sheriff’s Temple Station deputy on patrol on the 8000 block of Rosemead Boulevard around 11:03 p.m. The deputy was westbound on Garvey Avenue when he heard gunfire west of his location, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. “The victim was walking with a female acquaintance who heard multiple gunshots and saw a male suspect fleeing westbound on the north sidewalk away from the scene,” the Sheriff’s Information Bureau said in a written statement. The armed suspect possibly fired .22-caliber rounds from a handgun in the 9400 block of Ralph Street a little after 8 p.m. The suspects fled in a grey, older-model four-door Nissan Altima eastbound on Ralph Street, northbound on Ellis Lane and out of view. Both suspects are Hispanic men wearing dark clothing, 5 feet 9 inches to 6 feet tall, 190 to 200 pounds. One of the men wore a blue bandana. It was unclear what provoked the shooting. It was not immediately known if the shooting was gang-related. |
