Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor CITRUS - Deputies are investigating a shooting after a driver allegedly opened fire on another driver in the unincorporated area of Azusa. The shooting was reported at 7:30 p.m. at East Kirkwall Road and North Rockvale Avenue June 6. The victim was traveling north on Rockvale Avenue. The male suspect fired one round from a handgun as the drivers passed each other, according to Lt. MacKenzie of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s San Dimas Station.

San Dimas deputies were initially called, not to the sound of gunfire, but to an injured victim in the 18000 block of Newburgh Street June 1 around 11:15 p.m. The victim, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds, died at the scene, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau. There is no suspect description and the murder weapon is outstanding.

Firefighters were called at 11:15 p.m. to the scene and found a patient in their 30s, according to Dispatch Supervisor Imogene McBride of the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
Homicide detectives comfirmed the shooting took place in the 18000 block of Newburgh Street in unincorporated Azusa. The male victim died from their wounds, according to Lt. Alfred of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide Bureau. Preliminary reports from deputies state the victim may have been pushed from a vehicle. There is no suspect description available.
