Written by AARON CASTREJON | CityWatch Editor CITRUS - Five men and one teen were arrested after deputies responded to a house party where a reveler reported a weapon being seen Friday night.
No weapon was found in the 18200 block of Kirkwall Road around 11:27 p.m. in unincorporated Azusa. A reveler said he saw a suspect place a weapon in the truck of a car, but when deputies arrived and detained six people in the vehicle, deputies found something different. “Inside the car [the deputy] found four bottle of Noz ... and several baggies of marijuana packaged for sales,” according to Sgt. Pete Shupe of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s San Dimas Station. Noz, otherwise known as nitrous oxide, is filled into party balloons and is then inhaled to give the partygoer a calm, relaxed sensation. Inhaling Noz can have temporary adverse effects for sight and hearing. Residents in the area reported a helicopter assisting deputies, circling above and instructing people to stay inside their homes. Some revelers were fleeing in multiple directions. Deputies only searched the car and did not enter the home. The party had mostly dispersed by the time deputies and a helicopter arrived. The five men and 17-year-old boy were arrested. Their booking information was not yet available. |
