Written by AARON CASTREJON | CityWatch Editor CITRUS - Deputies still are trying to determine if a crime occurred after discovering a large amount of blood staining a bedroom in a home near Azusa Monday night.
Deputies responding to a home in the 6100 block of Goodway Drive in the unincorporated area near Azusa for a disturbance call discovered the residence empty--except for a large blood trail leading to the street, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. “Based on the condition of the inside of the home, which included a large amount of blood on the ground, deputies formed the opinion a medical emergency or a criminal act had occurred,” the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau said. A check of area hospitals yielded no victims, said Sgt. Terrance Smith of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's San Dimas Station. Deputies are seeking to speak with at least one resident of the home. This appears to be an isolated incident and deputies believe there is no threat to the public. Anyone with information is urged to call the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau at 323-890-5500. Information can be provided anonymously by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). |
