Marijuana Operation Uncovered in Hacienda Heights

HACIENDA HEIGHTS - More than 1000 marijuana plants were seized from an unspecified location in Hacienda Heights recently, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department revealed.

The plants, totaling 1052, have an apparent street value of nearly $3.6 million. Investigators also found evidence of utility theft to run the operation, totaling a little more than $235,000, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

The utility theft had apparently been going on for at least two years.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s County Special Assignment Team served the search warrant at the location.
