Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor MONTEBELLO - Investigators are questioning a person who claims to have a shot and killed a man in Montebello late Thursday night.
First responders were sent into a gunshot investigation in the 1600 block of Neil Armstrong Street just before midnight Thursday, December 28. A Latino man was found suffering from gunshot wounds to the upper torso. He died at the scene, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. “An individual at the scene claimed responsibility for the shooting. He is currently being questioned,” according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department in a written statement. It is not publicly clearer if investigators have determined a motive for the shooting.
