CityWatch Editor SAN GABRIEL - Investigators are trying to determine what led to the apparent shooting death of a man early Saturday morning. The shooting took place in the 100 block of Walnut Grove Avenue around 1:37 a.m. Saturday, June 8. First responders found the victim, only described as an Asian male adult, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds near a stairwell. The man was taken to a hospital where he later died, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau. The scene is taped off near the New Century Inn, 1114 E. Las Tunas Dr. Investigators stated that a suspect is unknown. Anyone with information on this shooting is urged to call the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau at 323-890-5500.
