The robbery occurred after 3:30 a.m. at the 7-Eleven, 15942 E. San Bernardino Rd. The suspect reportedly took cash during the robbery. He was last seen fleeing on foot southbound from the 7-Eleven, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s San Dimas Station radio traffic. It is unclear if the suspect ran to a vehicle, or some other type of transportation. The suspect was described as a black man 35 to 40 years old. He stood 6 feet tall, he was dressed in all dark clothing and had a thin build. The suspects took an unknown amount of money and marijuana product from the dispensary at 16731 Arrow Hwy. at 5:45 a.m. August 19, according to Sgt. McGrattan of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s San Dimas Station. The business is listed as Azusa’s Finest. “There’s very little information. Marijuana dispensaries generally don’t like to draw attention to themselves,” McGrattan said. No vehicle was seen. Two Hispanic men, one in his 20s and one in his 30s fled the location. Although McGrattan said an unknown amount of money was taken, a preliminary crime broadcast stated $2,000 was taken along with product and a cell phone. Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor VINCENT - A group of suspects held a security guard at gunpoint and fled with marijuana and money during a daytime robbery Thursday. The crime unfolded at B.B.S., 16725 E. Arrow Hwy., around 4:45 p.m. July 18. The suspects reportedly forced their way in and took an estimated $2,500 of marijuana jars and $500 in money, according to Lt. Mackenzie of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s San Dimas Station.
The security guard was forced to the ground while the cash and weed was taken, Mackenzie said. The security got up and yelled at the suspects as they ran. The weed was dropped as the suspects fled into an vehicle, which was seen westbound on Arrow Highway, Mackenzie said. Suspect descriptions were not available. The robbery occurred just before 11 p.m. at the 7-Eleven, 5575 N. Azusa Ave., March 2. Both suspects wore black masks. One of them was armed with a black handgun, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s San Dimas Station. Both suspects were last seen fleeing on foot south on Azusa Avenue from the 7-Eleven and out of view. The suspects were around 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighed 200 pounds and wore dark shirts and dark pants. Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor VINCENT - An armed man robbed two 7-Eleven convenience stores of cash in a one-hour period Wednesday night and Thursday morning. The suspect entered a 7-Eleven, 17020 Cypress St., around 11:45p.m. Wednesday and stole around $150 with the use of a black pistol grip shotgun, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s San Dimas Station. As deputies searched the area, Covina Police officers detained a man in a vehicle because he fit the suspect description. As the man was being detained, the San Dimas Station received a robbery alarm call at another 7-Eleven.
The same suspect in the first robbery struck the 7-Eleven at 15942 San Bernardino Rd. around 12:40 a.m. The suspect stole $200 and fled southbound on Irwindale Avenue on foot. The suspect is a Hispanic man, around 22 years old, 5 feet 7 inches tall, 170 to 180 pounds. He wore a black bandana across his face, a grey jacket and black pants. The men approached 7-Eleven, 15942 W. San Bernardino Rd., around 2:18 a.m. One man was armed with a semi-automatic silver and black handgun, the other with a small silver handgun in Vincent, the unincorporated area of Covina. $200 to $300 was taken from their victim, according to a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s San Dimas Station crime broadcast. One suspect is a Hispanic man, 20 to 25 years old, 5-foot-8 to 5 feet 10 inches tall, 180 to 200 pounds. He wore a black sweatshirt and black pants. The second suspect is a Hispanic man, 20 to 25 years old, 5-foot-6 to 5 feet 8 inches tall, 160 to 200 pounds. He wore a black Mario Kart sweatshirt and grey pants. The two suspects fled westbound on San Bernardino Road. |
