First responders were called to be 3300 block of muscatel Avenue just after 8 a.m. to a medical emergency call. The victim, only described as an Asian male in his early or mid 50s, was found with abrasions to his upper torso, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. “Investigators learned the victim was involved in a physical altercation with another male and had been pushed down to the ground during the incident. The male suspect was last seen north on Muscatel Avenue and out of view,” according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department in a written statement. It is unclear as of Monday morning, August 7, if the suspect has been identified and or taken into custody. First responders were sent just after 11:30 p.m. to an assault with a deadly weapon call in the 3000 block of Gladys Avenue August 4. Deputies found a man, only described as a Latino adult, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was declared dead at the scene, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
