ROSEMEAD - A burglary suspect continues to elude capture in the Alhambra Wash after fleeing a burglarized home Friday morning. Three other suspects were detained at gunpoint after they exited a home in the 3300 block of Twin Avenue around 11 a.m. As deputies detained three suspects, one in a red jacket or hooded sweatshirt fled westbound, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Temple Station. The suspect fled across San Gabriel Avenue, along Artson Street and through a self storage facility in the 8000 block of Artson.
The suspect, described as a Black man, well built with arm tattoos, has shed his red jacket or hooded sweatshirt and is wearing dark clothing and red shoes. A Sheriff’s bloodhound is arriving to the scene to help with a search of the wash. The vehicle the burglary suspects were entering is registered to an owner in Compton. Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor ROSEMEAD - Bodily force was used to take a money bag containing $2,000 during a parking lot robbery at Bank of America Wednesday. The robbery was reported at 8856 Valley Blvd. around 11:30 a.m. The grey Bank of America money bag was taken by a suspect who fled with an additional suspect in a black SUV eastbound on Valley Boulevard, according to a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Temple Station crime broadcast.
A Temple Station watch commander did not yet know if the victim was a bank employee. One suspect is an Asian man, 20 years old, 6 feet 2 inches tall, weighs 170 pounds. He wore a black shirt, black pants and black sunglasses. The second suspect was only described as a male. Monterey Health and Wellness Centre, 1267 N. San Gabriel Blvd. is undergoing evacuations. A one-story home, in the 1200 block of Lawrence Avenue, behind the hospital is the structure on fire, according to Los Angeles County Fire Department radio traffic. The fire is extensive throughout the home due to pack rat condition, firefighters reported. There is no threat to the hospital. It is unclear if any injuries have been reported. |
