First responders were dispatched to the scene in the 16200 block of Amar Road in the unincorporated community of Valinda around 7:46 p.m. Tuesday, February 14. The extent of injuries is unclear, but the victim is conscious and apparently unwilling to provide information to investigators. Investigators are trying to determine how many suspects were involved. The crash was reported around 2:06 a.m. in the 15800 block of Caldwell Street December 29. Deputies with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Industry Station arrived and believed one of the people involved was deceased at the scene, according to California Highway Patrol traffic logs. A heavy duty tow truck was requested to upright the tipped-over box truck that weighed an estimated five tons. The robbery was reported in the 16000 block of East Maplegrove Street sometime after 9:30 a.m. The victim told the deputies that she was forced face down on the ground during the robbery, according to a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s crime broadcast. Deputies were told that $5,000 worth of marijuana products and $3,000 in cash were taken, according to the crime broadcast. One suspect was reportedly armed with a black semi-automatic handgun. A second silver weapon was possibly used. One suspect was described as a heavy-looking black man in his mid-30s who stands 6 feet 2 inches tall. He wore a gray sweater, sweatpants and a black mask. The victim did not get a good look at the two other suspects, but she described them to deputies as being black. All three suspects fled in an older-model white four-door Honda westbound on Maplegrove towards Valinda. Deputies found evidence of a shooting near the above-mentioned intersection after authorities were called to an initial report of two gunshot victims who wound up at a gas station at East Amar Road and North Hacienda Boulevard. Los Angeles County firefighters and Sheriff’s deputies were called to Amar and Hacienda. “They weren’t actually shot, fortunately,” according to Lt. Bernal of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Industry Station, adding that one person was cut by flying glass after gunfire erupted. Firefighters were dispatched to Amar and Hacienda around 12:11 a.m. A white older-model truck was seen fleeing Hayland and Greycliff after the shooting. The shooting also wounded another man at the dispensary in the 15800 block of Amar Road October 30. Deputies and Los Angeles County firefighters were dispatched at 8:47 p.m. Investigators with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau continue to state that a suspect is unknown in the shooting. It is not publicly clear if a suspect or suspects escaped with any money or property from the dispensary. At least one suspect in a grey four-door Honda Accord opened fire at another vehicle around 5:20 p.m. The rear window of the vehicle was shattered, according to Lt. James Long of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Industry Station. The road rage may have started in West Covina. The driver and passenger in the Accord followed the driver of a black Scion before gunfire occurred, Long told SGV CityWatch. The Accord fled the scene. The shooting is initially not believed t o be gang-related, Long told SGV CityWatch. The shooting occurred in the area of Amar Road and Valinda Avenue around 11:30 p.m. January 29. The victim claimed at least one person from an older-model silver Honda Civic opened fire, according Los Angeles County Sheriff’s radio traffic. Someone inside the Honda yelled “Puente” before opening fire. The victim was shot once, according to Los Angeles County Sheriff’s radio traffic. The Honda Civic was driven north on Valinda Avenue. The man was found lifeless on the bench on the Northeast corner of Hacienda Boulevard and Francisquito Avenue September 4, according to Lt. Lim of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Industry Station. Firefighters were dispatched at 12:38 p.m. and arrived at 12:44 p.m. Two minutes later, firefighters declared the man dead, according to Franklin Lopez, Los Angeles County Fire Department representative. There was no immediate sign of foul play and no apparent sign of trauma, Lim told SGV CityWatch. The coroner will determine cause of death. The gunshot victim, described as a man in his early 20s, was being sent to a nearby trauma center from Queen of the Valley Hospital, according to Lt. James Long of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Industry Station. The gunshot victim was being transferred to the trauma center when deputies became aware of the shooting just before 6 p.m. “People picked him up with his family and drove him to the hospital. He was already being put in the ambulance when we got the call,” Long told SGV CityWatch. Deputies are also working a potentially-related incident in the area of Valinda Avenue and Wing Lane where gunfire was reported March 16. Bullets were reportedly fired into the air, Long told SGV CityWatch. No other information is available.
