Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor LOS ANGELES - A 46-year-old Covina man was identified as the victim shot multiple times outside a Monrovia home.
Terry Alford was identified by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner. Sheriff’s Homicide Investigators believe the shooting is gang-related. Monrovia officers responded to a residence in the 100 block of East Los Angeles Avenue around 5:03 p.m. January 29. “Monrovia officers administered first aid until the arrival of Monrovia Fire Department at which time the victim was pronounced dead at the scene,” according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau. While homicide detectives state that there is no suspect or vehicle description, three possible suspects fled the area in a four-door Honda Civic, according to Monrovia Police radio traffic. The shooting occurred in the 100 block of East Los Angeles Avenue. One person was fatally shot. He died at the scene, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau. The shooting occurred around 5 p.m. January 29. Three possible suspects fled the area in a four-door Honda Civic, according to Monrovia Police radio traffic.
