Written by AARON CASTREJON | CityWatch Editor LOS ANGELES - A Panorama City man and Sun Valley man both died at the scene of a wrong way crash on the westbound 210 freeway west of Angeles Crest Highway early Sunday morning.
The California Highway Patrol believes the driver of a 2001 Honda Civic, 32-year-old Kevork Khamisian of Sun Valley, was the wrong way driver spotted by passing motorists, traveling east in westbound lanes of the 210 freeway near Pennsylvania Avenue around 1:46 a.m. Three minutes later, CHP officers received a call of a two-vehicle collision west of Angeles Crest Highway. Officers found the Honda facing northwest in the No. 1 lane, while a 2017 Kia Niro, driven by 24-year-old Panorama City resident Bruce Alvarenga, was facing south in the No. 4 lane and right shoulder, the CHP said. It is unclear if alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash. All westbound 210 lanes east of Angeles Crest were closed until about 6 a.m. |
