The fire is already consuming an unknown number of plastic containers near the 1800 block of Chico Avenue. The fire, which was first dispatched at 12:32 p.m., is already a second-alarm blaze, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department. One firefighter has been injured, but the extent of injuries has not been disclosed. It is unclear what type of plastic containers are being consumed by the fire.
