Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor BASSETT - None of the roughly 600 Metrolink passengers were injured after a train bound for San Bernardino struck and killed a pedestrian Thursday night. A Hipanic man in his 20s was killed. He has not been publicly identified yet, pending notification of next of kin, according to Sarah Ardalani of the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner. The pedestrian was struck on a bridge that crossed a flood control channel north of Feather Avenue around 7 p.m. November 21. He died at the scene, according to Metrolink.
San Bernardino-bound train 330 proceeded to the Baldwin Park Metrolink Station after the engineer determined a person was hit, Metrolink said. Five other trains were affected while service was stopped. |
