Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor LA CAÑADA FLINTRIDGE - A early-morning house fire took the lives of a man and a dog Tuesday.
Two other people from the home were hospitalized for smoke inhalation, according to Los Angeles County Fire Department radio traffic. A fire fighter was also reportedly injured. First responders were sent to the house in the 2000 block of Rancho Cañada Road around 3:56 a.m. Tuesday, January 30. Firefighters immediately reported smoke and fire showing from a window on the second story of the single-family home, according to fire department radio traffic. Deputies arrived first and pulled a woman through a window to rescue her. Another occupant, a man, was able to exit the house by himself, according to ABC7 news. The cause of the fire is under investigation. |
