Written by AARON CASTREJON | CityWatch Editor LA VERNE - A man and woman are wanted by police after burglarizing the La Verne Target five different times.
The suspects have taken approximately $1,800 in various merchandise, mostly consisting of denim jeans and Nintendo game controllers, from Target, 2462 Foothill Blvd., La Verne Police said. The female suspect enters the store and selects the merchandise, using a cutting tool to remove the controllers from their locked displays, La Verne Police said. In most cases, the female would place the merchandise in a basket and fled out the emergency exit to a waiting vehicle driven by the male suspect, La Verne Police said. The male suspect accompanied the female inside the store during one of the thefts. There are two vehicles associated with the five thefts, an older-model, four-door, white Toyota Avalon with tinted windows. The second is an older-model, dark green Jeep Cherokee SUV, which sports a sticker on the rear window. The female suspect is white, 20 to 25 years old, 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighs 100 pounds and has long, dark hair. The male is white or Hispanic, 20 to 25 years old, 5 feet 9 inches tall and 160 pounds. Anyone with information on the suspects is urged to call La Verne Police Detective Matthew Hadan at 909-596-1913 (ext. 2937) |
