Jonas Elias Nelson was last seen Sunday, January 20 in the 2200 block of East Sacramento Street. Nelson is schizophrenic, bi polar and suffers from catatonia disorder, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. Nelson is 6 feet 4 inches tall, weighs 190 pounds, has brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing black sweatpants and an orange hoodie with silver reflective accents.
Anyone who knows Nelson’s whereabouts is urged to call the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Missing Persons Unit at 323-890-5500. Information can be provided anonymously by calling L.A. The fire occurred inside a detached 1,000-square-foot, two-vehicle garage in the 2000 block of East New York Avenue. Firefighters were dispatched just after 9 a.m., according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department. The garage also had an attached bedroom. It is unclear if any vehicles were inside the garage.

The checkpoint is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. and end at 2 a.m. Saturday, March 9 at an undisclosed location, the CHP said. “We would like to remind everyone to drink responsibly and to designate a sober driver. Driving while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs is dangerous to everybody on the roadways and has cost the lives of too many people,” said Captain Tai Vong, Altadena area commander.
