Written by AARON CASTREJON | CityWatch Editor ALTADENA - A man was injured after being hit by gunfire Sunday night, a Sheriff’s sergeant said.
The shooting took place at Lincoln Avenue and Woodbury Road around 9:42 p.m. October 21. Deputies responding to the location found a white vehicle with bullet holes and an injured man, said Sgt. Gary Harmon of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Crescenta Valley Station. The injured man refused to provide information to deputies on how he was shot, or provide a suspect and vehicle description, Harmon said. The man was taken to Huntington memorial Hospital for treatment, Harmon said. The shooting may have been gang related. Written by AARON CASTREJON | CityWatch Editor ALTADENA - No identification has been made public yet after a driver struck a wall at an Altadena Intersection and later died at a hospital.
The driver crashed into a wall at Holliston Avenue and Mendocino Street Saturday, October 13. CHP officers were notified of the crash at 9:47 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol Traffic Management Center. Upon the arrival of CHP officers, the male driver was extricated and taken to Huntington Memorial Hospital where he died, the CHP said. The driver has a not been identified yet. The case has yet to be assigned to an investigator, according to the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner. It is unclear if the driver suffered a medical emergency which led to the crash, or if drugs, alcohol or distracted driving are factors. |
