The victim was found shot after deputies responded a call of shots fired in the 300 block of Palm Street around 9 p.m. The victim, who was about to walk into his home when he was shot, is expected to survive his injuries. Nothing more about the suspects involved is known since the victim is being uncooperative with deputies, according to a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Altadena crime broadcast. A .40-caliber weapon was used. A white sedan seen fleeing the area in an unknown direction may have been involved, deputies said. At least four shots from a 9-millimeter handgun were fired at All Star Liquor Market, 2421 Lincoln Ave., around 11 p.m. No one was struck by gunfire, according to Sgt. Taylor of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station. A grey BMW with paper plates was seen speeding away from the area south on Lincoln Avenue, Taylor said. Deputies recovered spent shell casings nearby. Detectives are working to locate and review security footage to better identify the suspect. Kayson McLane, 11, was seen leaving Hathaway-Sycamores Child and Family Services, 2933 El Nido Dr., around 9:25 a.m. August 10, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Altadena Station. McLane is 5 feet 6 inches tall, has black hair, brown eyes and was last seen wearing a grey short-sleeve Nike shirt and black sweatpants.
