The vehicle crashed through the home in the 2700 block of Santa Rosa Avenue. The circumstances leading to the crash or not publicly clear. It is not immediately known if anyone was inside the house when the crash occurred. The extent of injuries is not immediately clear. Someone witnessed an assailant grab the victim who was on the Zoom call. After deputies were called to the home, they found a man dead in the driveway and a woman dead inside, according to Sheriff’s homicide investigators. Deputies detained a person of interest as he drove to the murder scene in the victims’ vehicle, Sheriff’s homicide investigators said. It is not yet publicly clear if that person of interest is tied to the murders. The bodies were discovered after police were called around 2:50 p.m. in the 3000 block of North Marengo Avenue. The three suspects were located by Pasadena police officers in Pasadena Sunday afternoon. Sheriff’s detectives and investigators from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Operation Safe Streets Bureau took the three men into custody, the sheriffs department said. Deputies were on the hunt for three suspects in a silver or gray sedan, described as a possible Nissan Maxima. The shootings occurred throughout Altadena starting just after Noon with one man wounded in the 3100 block of Santa Anita Avenue around 12:11 p.m., according to Deputy Eric Ortiz of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau. A 49-year-old Black man was found wounded at the location, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. Shootings were reported at two different liquor stores in the 2600 block of Fair Oaks Avenue 30 minutes after the first shooting. No victims were found, deputies said. A 31-year-old black man was found wounded after gunfire rang out in the 3100 block of Olive Avenue, just 10 minutes after the shootings on Fair Oaks Avenue, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said. A shooting was also reported in a 200 block of W. Harriet St. Shortly after, the three suspects were arrested. Motives for the shootings are either unknown, or have not been publicly shared yet. The shooting occurred on West Figueroa Drive near North Canyada Avenue just after 1 p.m. February 16, according to the Los Angeles county fire department. The sheriffs department has yet to publicly provide a suspect description, if one exists. Firefighters are building containment lines to suppress remaining active flames. Millard Trail Camp, which is above the brush fire, is under mandatory evacuation, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. ALTADENA - A two-acre brush fire is burning uphill near Loma Alta Drive and Chaney Trail, Los Angeles County Firefighters report. A full brush response including four helicopters have been sent to battle the fire, which was reported around 3:26 p.m. September 22. Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies are also on scene and are working to evacuate patrons at a campground in the area of the fire. |
