ALTADENA - A converted, detached garage went up in flames Friday in an Altadena home.

The fire was reported in a garage that was converted to living quarters in the 1300 block of North Grand Oaks Avenue around 5:04 p.m.

The detached garage was found well-involved with fire, which was extinguished around 5:20 p.m., according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

Two searches of the garage yielded no victims.

A cause was not given.
