Tywan Lamont Brown, 25, DiJonn Cooper, 25, and Amber Dayanara Echeverria, 20, had charges officially filed against them November 14 by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office. Echeverria was additionally charged with felony evading. Cooper was additionally charged with carrying a loaded firearm in a public place or vehicle, according to Los Angeles Superior Court records. Police gave chase to the three suspects who fled the scene of a residential burglary in the 100 block of North Catherine Park Drive just before 3 p.m. The driver refused to stop and led police on a chase until the driver crashed at Glendora Avenue and Route 66. Brown and Cooper allegedly ran from the crashed vehicle, leaving Echeverria behind. A multi-agency search helped to corral the suspects hiding in a yard in the 600 block of South Minnesota Avenue. Cooper and Brown are being held in lieu of nearly $1.3 million bail. Echeverria posted bond and was released November 16. All three suspects are scheduled for an appearance in the West Covina Courthouse November 28. Martin Duzdabanyan, 38, was seen fleeing the Goodwill, 526 W. Foothill Blvd., and entering a vehicle parked behind the business Thursday, February 11. Officers found stolen items from within the store, including the security DVR system, according to the Glendora Police Department. Officers responded to Goodwill at 12:35 a.m. after the business’ alarm company called Glendora Police. Duzdabanyan posted $20,000 bond and was released at 5:59 p.m. February 12. He is scheduled for an appearance at the West Covina courthouse Wednesday, February 17, according to Los Angeles County booking records. Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor GLENDORA - A tip from a Glendora resident helped investigators locate and arrest a man wanted in two November robberies, Glendora Police said.
27-year-old Bryan Cornejo of Duarte was tracked down to Ontario December 9 where he was found driving. He refused to stop and led police from Glendora and Ontario on a pursuit until he crashed and ran on foot, Glendora Police said. Cornejo was arrested without further incident. Officers found and seized a replica handgun used in the November 17 and November 25 robberies, according to the Glendora Police Department. In both robberies, Cornejo is accused of approaching lone individuals. He revealed a handgun and demanded property from his victims. Conejo fled with a wallet and sell phone in one robbery, a purse and the second, Glendora Police said. Search warrants were served at two residences and investigators recovered most of the stolen property, Glendora Police said. At the time of his arrest, Cornejo was on formal probation for a robbery committed in 2019, Glendora police said. The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office filed three charges against Cornejo. One count of felony identity theft and two counts of second-degree robbery. “Cornejo has a previous conviction for robbery, which is a strike, however, a sentencing enhancement based on that conviction can no longer be alleged during criminal filing under the new County District Attorney charging directives,” Glendora police said. |
