ALTADENA - The Altadena Mountain Rescue Team and county firefighters rescued a man who slipped, fell and injured himself in Eaton Canyon Saturday.
The 32-year-old victim was located 50 feet over the side of the Mt. Wilson Toll Road one-quarter mile up from the trailhead. He suffered back pain, leg pain and a head laceration, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Altadena Station.
Rescuers responded around 7:15 a.m. November 30.
Firefighters hiked in to locate the victim. After the hiker was located, an Altadena Mountain Rescue Team member was lowered to the victim to begin treatment.
A Los Angeles County Fire Department Helicopter hoisted the hiker who was flown to Huntington Memorial Hospital.
