Sheriff’s Dept.: Deputy Uninjured After Being Ambushed with Gunfire

ALTADENA - The search continues for two suspects who reportedly ambushed a deputy in her marked patrol car and opened fire at her Friday.

The incident occurred around 12:33 p.m. in the area of Fair Oaks Avenue and Calaveras Street December 4, according to Deputy Eric Ortiz of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau.

“Multiple gunshots were fired at her, but luckily she was not struck,” Ortiz said in a written statement.

Both suspects were described as Black men in their 20s. There was no clothing description.
