DUARTE - An Azusa man was arrested June 2, suspected of being under the influence of drugs and carrying a meth pipe after being found walking in lanes of traffic.

Deputies responded to the 1000 block of Chimes Avenue June 2 to reports of a man in the middle of the street obstructing traffic. Deputies noticed after speaking with him that he displayed signs of being under the influence of drugs, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Temple Station.
“When asked for his identification, he pulled out a glass pipe used for ingesting narcotics out of his pocket instead of his I.D.,” deputies said.

The unidentified suspect was booked on suspicion of possessing drug paraphernalia and additionally booked on possessing methamphetamine and being under the influence of a controlled substance after he was found with meth, deputies said.
