The burglary occurred in the 300 block of Mel Canyon Road between 7:50 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. October 15. Deputies determined an unknown number of suspects gained access through an unlocked bedroom window, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Temple Station. Several electronic devices and money was taken. It is unclear if deputies have a description of a suspect or suspects. Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor DUARTE - A man in a surgical mask took approximately $7,000 in lottery tickets from a local smoke shop October 6, deputies said. The robbery occurred inside a smoke shop, 1144 Huntington Dr. The suspect walked in already wearing the surgical mask and asked to enter the cigar room. After briefly entering the cigar room exited and went for the tickets, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Temple Station.
“The suspect exited, grabbed a case containing eight rolls of lottery tickets and ran out of the location,” deputies said. The suspect was only described as a Black man in a white surgical mask. No clothing description was available. Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor DUARTE - Deputies are investigating an assault with a deadly weapon after a man walked up to his victim, opened a knife and sliced his stomach. Deputies were called to Walmart, 1600 Mountain Ave., around 6:20 p.m. October 10 to investigate the assault. The victim sustained a one-inch laceration to his stomach and claimed the attack was unprovoked, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Temple Station. The victim was standing outside the adjacent McDonald’s and was talking on his phone when the attack occurred.
The suspect, described as a Caucasian man, folded the knife and walked from the store. The attack was caught on camera and the investigation is ongoing, deputies said. The victim refused medical treatment. |
