The shooting took place inside a room at the Days Inn by Wyndham, 1533 E. Huntington Dr., October 9. The male allegedly began acting bizarre and the victim tried to calm him down by hugging him, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Temple Station. “The suspect began to push the victim off of him, when the victim heard a gunshot and realized she had been shot in the arm. The victim attempted the run out of the room, when the suspect prevented her from leaving,” according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Temple Station in a written statement. After several attempts, the victim was able to escape. The suspect also fled, but was found and arrested. His name was not publicly disclosed. The shooting occurred September 22 in the 1200 block of Galen Street. The driver was seated in his vehicle when another vehicle, described as a late 90s Hyundai Sonata with tinted windows, stopped alongside him, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Temple Station. “The victim heard the sound of a gunshot and immediately realized he had been shot. The suspect vehicle driven by unknown persons fled the area,” according to the Sheriff’s Temple Station in a written statement. Shotgun pellet holes peppered the victim’s vehicle and evidence was recovered at the scene. Gunfire erupted in the 1200 block of Highland Avenue around 1:19 a.m. August 16. The victim was inside a home and then heard a man yell the word “blood” at the front of the residence. A surveillance camera caught the suspect firing multiple rounds into the home, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Temple Station. The victim received a wound to his right forearm considered not life-threatening. Empty shell casings were recovered at the location. Deputies did not provide a suspect description. It is not clear if the suspect escaped in a vehicle. The shooting occurred on South Felberg Avenue north of Maydee Street around 2:43 p.m. February 14. Two people were shot. The victims, described as having critical injuries, were transported to two different hospitals, according to Dispatch Supervisor Cheryl Sims of the Los Angeles County Fire Department. Deputies are searching for possibly as many as four suspects in the shooting. A black handgun and possibly a black rifle were used in the shooting, according to Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department radio traffic. The suspects reportedly entered a gray older-model four-door sedan which was driven south towards Maydee Street and out of view. Hey sheriffs supervisor did not answer a phone call by this reporter seeking additional information. A motive for the shooting is not yet publicly clear. The shooting was reported just after 1 p.m. in the 900 block of Lewiston Street. The suspect opened fire on the victim and missed hitting him, according to a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Temple Station crime broadcast. Deputies were told the suspect fled in a black Volkswagen Jetta or Passat west on Lewiston Street. The suspect was described as a Black man in his 20s or 30s, He sported an afro. There was no clothing description at the time of the broadcast. Deputies responded to Galen Street and Ivory Drive around 5 p.m. to a gunshot victim. The homeless man claimed the rear passenger of a grey Acura fired two to three rounds as the car pulled up, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Temple Station. The man was struck in the elbow and transported to an area hospital.

The shooting occurred in the 2000 block of South Broderick Avenue around 10:25 p.m., according to Dispatch Supervisor Michael Pittman of the Los Angeles County Fire Department. Both victims were taken to an area trauma center for treatment, according to Los Angeles County Fire Dispatch Supervisor Miguel Ornelas. No one else was injured in the shooting. While the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Temple Station watch commander did not have information on the shooting, a white, older-model, full-size pickup truck, possibly a Ford, was seen driving slowly northbound through the neighborhood, according to Sheriff’s radio traffic. Several loud pops were heard after a resident reportedly witnessed the truck moving north on Broderick. The white truck had tinted windows. No other information is available. The shooting occurred in the 1600 block of Buena Vista Street just before Noon. The suspect is still outstanding and a description was not available, according to Lt. Robert Hahnlein of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Temple Station. The man was shot once. “I’m not sure if [the shooting] was at his front door or through the front door. I’m not sure if it was a gang activity, or not, but I think the individual went up to the front door,” Hahnlein said. An updated condition for the victim is not available. The two were shot in what is possibly a gang shooting in the 2500 block of Broderick Avenue around 11:41 a.m. Both the man and woman were shot in the upper torso, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Information Bureau.
