Written by AARON CASTREJON | CityWatch Editor DUARTE - Deputies arrested a man August 28 after determining he was a gang member and found him possessing a loaded weapon.
Deputies saw Daniel Salgado-Dominguez, 29, exiting the Duarte Public Safety Office, 1042 Huntington Dr., the afternoon of Tuesday, August 28. Deputies knew Salgado-Dominguez was wanted for an outstanding felony warrant, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Temple Station. Deputies took Salgado-Dominguez into custody outside the Duarte Public Safety Office without incident. “Prior to transporting, the suspect was found to be in possession of a loaded semi-automatic handgun in a holster attached to the inside of his pants,” deputies said. Salgado-Dominguez was booked on suspicion of carrying the loaded handgun and on seven additional felonies related to the handgun, including carrying a loaded firearm, being a gang member in possession of a firearm, being a felon in possession of a firearm, being a felon in possession of ammunition, carrying a concealed weapon and assault with a deadly weapon. Salgado-Dominguez is being held in the North County Correction Facility in Castaic. He is scheduled to appear in Alhambra Superior Court September 12. |
