Two Injured in Duarte Shooting

DUARTE - Two People have been hospitalized in unknown condition after being shot Saturday night.

The shooting occurred in the 2000 block of South Broderick Avenue around 10:25 p.m., according to Dispatch Supervisor Michael Pittman of the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

Both victims were taken to an area trauma center for treatment, according to Los Angeles County Fire Dispatch Supervisor Miguel Ornelas.

No one else was injured in the shooting.

While the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Temple Station watch commander did not have information on the shooting, a white, older-model, full-size pickup truck, possibly a Ford, was seen driving slowly northbound through the neighborhood, according to Sheriff’s radio traffic.

Several loud pops were heard after a resident reportedly witnessed the truck moving north on Broderick.

The white truck had tinted windows.

No other information is available.
