The death was discovered after 3 p.m. in the 21000 block of Trigger Lane, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau. The outage is also affecting power at intersections around Grand Avenue and Longview Drive, according to the City of Diamond Bar. Southern California Edison has no estimated time for repair. Two male victims were stabbed in the back with what deputies described as a kitchen knife at Dilliwala Indian Kitchen, 303 S. Diamond Bar Blvd. around 10:40 p.m. The incident was described as an assault with a deadly weapon after initially being reported as a robbery, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Diamond Bar/Walnut Station. What led to the stabbing was not disclosed.
One of the suspects was described as a white man, 6 feet 2 inches tall, 250 pounds. He wore a black hat with the letter “J” on it, deputies said. The suspects may have fled in a black four-door Toyota Camry. Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor DIAMOND BAR - A man was severely beaten, left bloodied and semi-conscious in a residential neighborhood Sunday night after being attacked by two suspects who took cash from him, a Sheriff’s sergeant said. Deputies responded to the 2200 block of Evergreen Springs Drive around 10 p.m. January 6. Possibly two men approached the victim, beat him and stole $20,000, a cellphone and his wallet, according to a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Industry Station crime broadcast.
“He [the victim] was pretty bloodied up when we got there,” said Sgt. D. Luter of the Industry Sheriff’s Station. “There were no weapons. It was all hands and feet.”
Deputies are still acquiring details, but believe the victim may have come home with casino winnings. The suspects may have followed the victim home, Luter said. The victim was hospitalized.
