Jianchun Li was arrested at 2:25 p.m. He is being held in lieu of $4 million bail, according to Los Angeles County booking records. ABC7 News revealed that the location was described by neighbors as care facility for the elderly and the neighbors witnessed caretakers exiting the location with their hands up at the order of deputies. Li has a scheduled appearance in Pomona Superior Court Tuesday, June 27/ DIAMOND BAR - Two women were found dead in a neighborhood early Saturday and a suspect has been detained. First responders were sent to a residential area in the 23800 block of Sapphire Canyon Road around 8:07 a.m. June 24. Both women were declared dead at the scene, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. “A person of interest is detained in connection with the two deaths in this case where foul play is suspected,” according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department in a written statement. Investigators are reassuring the community that there is no safety concern at this time. Investigators have yet to reveal any possible motive, nor have they revealed the likely method used in the deaths. Firefighters responded to a reported bee swarm in the 23600 block of Tellgate Drive just after 4 p.m. July 24 and reported a large swarm that killed a dog. The residents and other dogs were able to retreat into the home, according to a dispatch supervisor with the Los Angeles County Fire Department. Firefighters were unable to locate the hive and requested vector control to respond to the scene. Both were found inside a home in the 1500 block of Kiowa Crest Drive, May 21. They were only describe as a male Asian adult and a female Asian adult. Both were pronounced dead at the scene by Los Angeles County firefighters, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau. Deputies with the Sheriff’s Diamond Bar/Walnut Station initially responded around 9:52 p.m. to a report of two unresponsive people inside the home. No other details are available. The death was reported to deputies at 3:21 a.m. in the 1100 block of Cleghorn Drive July 29. The man was declared dead at the scene, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau. Firefighters were dispatched at 3:18 a.m. to the location. They arrived on scene at 3:22 a.m. to a report of a patient in cardiac arrest, according to a representative with the Los Angeles County Fire Department. Initially, firefighters were told the patient suffered a head injury. There was no more information. There is no suspect information at this time. Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor DIAMOND BAR - A teen was hit by a vehicle near Chaparral Middle School Tuesday. A vehicle was moving at an estimated 20 to 30 miles per hour when it hit the teen, according to Sgt. Estep of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Diamond Bar/Walnut Station. The crash occurred around 7:32 a.m. in the 22500 block of East Mountain Laurel Way.
The teen suffered a head contusion, Estep said. A Los Angeles County Fire Department helicopter landed at Chaparral Middle School and the teen was airlifted to a trauma center, according to Inspector Narvaez of the Los Angeles County Fire Department. The driver remained at the scene. An updated condition was not readily available. Forward progress has been stopped, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department. DIAMOND BAR – A 10-to-15-acre fire is burning near the 57 freeway and Brea Canyon Road, the Los Angeles County Fire Department said Wednesday. The fire was reported around 11:50 a.m. and is burning with a moderate rate of spread. It is unclear if any structures are threatened. Authorities are planning, or already have a full closure of northbound lanes at the border with Orange County. Traffic will be diverted off at Lambert Road, according to the California Highway Patrol. Flames already witnessed jumping freeway lanes to the opposite side. Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor DIAMOND BAR - A 39-year-old man was hospitalized with multiple lacerations to his limbs Saturday after being found at a church. Deputies were called to a possible burglary in progress on Sunset Crossing Road March 3 around 1 p.m. Deputies were then directed to a church where a man, the possible burglary suspect, was found severely bleeding. The suspect was found at Global Mission Church, 23425 Sunset Crossing Rd, according to Capt. Ron Singleton of the Los Angeles County Fire Department. Firefighters were dispatched at 1:14 p.m. and found the suspect with a crush injury and laceration to an arm and lacerations to his legs, Singleton said.
Deputies are investigating if the injuries were self-inflicted, according to Sgt. Cardoza of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Diamond Bar/Walnut Station. Cardoza did not immediately know where the original burglary call was reported at. According to witnesses, the suspect entered the church already injured, Cardoza said.
