DIAMOND BAR - A teen was hit by a vehicle near Chaparral Middle School Tuesday.
A vehicle was moving at an estimated 20 to 30 miles per hour when it hit the teen, according to Sgt. Estep of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Diamond Bar/Walnut Station.
The crash occurred around 7:32 a.m. in the 22500 block of East Mountain Laurel Way.
The teen suffered a head contusion, Estep said.
A Los Angeles County Fire Department helicopter landed at Chaparral Middle School and the teen was airlifted to a trauma center, according to Inspector Narvaez of the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
The driver remained at the scene.
An updated condition was not readily available.
