Written by AARON CASTREJON | CityWatch Editor DIAMOND BAR - A man was arrested after fleeing the scene of a domestic fight in the middle of a busy intersection Tuesday.
A woman was injured in the domestic fight, which took place inside a vehicle, and required hospitalization, according to Lt. David Buckner of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Diamond Bar/Walnut Station. The fight began around 2:30 p.m. inside of a vehicle. The suspect then fled the before deputies arrived, setting off a search, but the suspect was quickly found and arrested, said Lt. Yolanda Figueroa of the Diamond Bar/Walnut Station. While deputies were reluctant to provide how the woman was injured, passersby reported blood stains on the driver-side door. Firefighters arrived to a reported traffic collision at the intersection with a reported unconscious occupant. Firefighters arrived at 2:36 p.m. and transported the occupant to a local hospital, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department. Deputies had a portion of the intersection shut down until around 7:40 p.m. Tuesday night before reopening lanes. Deputies are still investigating. Figueroa declined to give the booking information for the suspect arrested, citing the ongoing investigation. No other suspects are outstanding. The investigation has been going on since about 2:30 p.m. Deputies at the scene are securing the vehicle until it can be towed away, said Lt. David Buckner of the Diamond Bar/Walnut Station. Buckner was reluctant to divulge specifically what deputies responded for. It may be another hour or two until the vehicle can be moved, Buckner said. The undisclosed threat was posted to a social media platform. Detectives with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Walnut/Diamond Bar Station are working with school administrators to ensure the safety of everyone at the campus, deputies said in a written statement. Extra patrols are being conducted in the area and dedicated personnel are on campus for the duration of the school day. Pomona Unified School District counselors took to social media Wednesday to state the threat is not credible, but more deputies will be present as a precaution.
A sample of a threat has been shared throughout Facebook and Twitter recently, with posters mentioning Diamond Ranch High School. One user who shared the post said the threat was found in a cafeteria bathroom. It is unclear if the threat being shared on social media is the specific threat being investigated.
