Written by AARON CASTREJON | CityWatch Editor DIAMOND BAR - Speed is believed to be a factor after a vehicle failed to negotiate a turn and hit an apartment complex Tuesday night.
Two people in the speeding vehicle were killed after it hit the apartment unit in the 23600 block of Golden Springs Drive around 11:40 p.m., according to Lt. Avola of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Diamond Bar/Walnut Station. There was one person inside the apartment unit who apparently was uninjured, Avola said. One of the four total patients was hospitalized, while a second refused medical help, according to Dispatch Supervisor Jeremy Stafford of the Los Angeles County Fire Department. The vehicle crashed through brush and some trees before hitting the apartment, Avola said. It is unclear if alcohol, drugs, or distracted driving played a factor. |
