Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor LA PUENTE - Three suspects fled a pet store around 30 minutes ago and stole two yellow exotic birds.
The birds were stolen from Hacienda aquatics, 1075 N. Hacienda Blvd. around 5:30 p.m. Monday, October 30. During an initial broadcast, one suspect was reportedly being held down during the crime. It is unknown if that suspect was part of the trio that escaped with the birds, or is a fourth suspect who might be possibly detained. One suspect is a Latino man, 25 years old, standing 6 feet 1 inch tall. He wore a black Nike jacket and black pants. Deputies were unable to obtain descriptions for the two other suspects. The suspects fled southbound on Hacienda Boulevard toward Amar Road in a blue 4-door Toyota sedan. The robbery took place at a liquor store in the 800 block of North Sunset Avenue. The 9-1-1 call was made at 7:56 p.m. October 13. The suspect armed with a handgun took an undisclosed amount of cash, according to Lt. James Long of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Industry Station. The suspect is a male, 20 to 25 years old. He was described as 5 feet 2 inches tall, weighs 140 pounds, is light skinned and wore all black clothing, including a black hooded sweatshirt and ski mask, Long said. The amount of cash taken was undisclosed. |
