Written by AARON CASTREJON | CityWatch Editor CLAREMONT - A girl was airlifted from a Claremont hiking trail and taken to Pomona Valley Hospital Medial Center Saturday morning. The girl received undisclosed injuries, unknown if she experienced a medical episode or hurt herself, on the Sycamore Canyon Trail around 8:38 a.m. Los Angeles County Firefighters and the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Special Enforcement Bureau responded to treat the girl. The girl was found around 9:45 a.m., according to Dispatch Supervisor Ed Pickett of the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

PHOTO/ABC7 Eyewitness News Written by AARON CASTREJON | CityWatch Editor CLAREMONT - A man barricaded in a charcoal-colored truck that is teetering over a cliff edge on Mt. baldy Road at Flat River has just given himself up to police.
Firefighters were summoned to the scene at just after 10 a.m. According to ABC7 news, the barricaded man initially refused to exit the truck. Claremont Police are on scene. The suspect was seen exiting the truck with his hands in the air. He is now in police custody. No further information is available. |
