Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor CLAREMONT - Three people were caught Saturday at the end of a pursuit minutes after having robbed a pharmacy, police said. The suspects are accused of robbing Claremont Pharmacy, 358 S. Indian Hill Blvd., at gunpoint around 11:09 a.m., taking pharmaceuticals and cash. Arriving officers witnessed the suspects driving away and followed, according to the Claremont Police Department. The three suspects abandoned their vehicle at the East I-10 Freeway on ramp at Vinton Avenue in Pomona. All three suspects were caught a short distance away, Claremont Police said. The property taken from the pharmacy was recovered, as well as a 9-millimeter handgun taken in a Gardena residential burglary, Claremont Police said. Dominique Dewann Thompson, 30, was booked on suspicion of armed robbery, kidnapping, resisting arrest and possession of a controlled substance.
Curtis Wayne Houston, 34, was booked on suspicion of armed robbery, kidnapping, vehicle pursuit, resisting arrest and possession of a controlled substance. Eugene Darryl Halcromb, 30, was booked on suspicion of armed robbery, kidnapping, resisting arrest, possession of a stolen gun, and possession of a controlled substance. |
