Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor CLAREMONT - Police are searching for those behind an attack that left a man with multiple stab wounds Thursday. The victim was behind the wheel of a white SUV found crashed on Indian Boulevard at San Jose Avenue just After 5 p.m. October 3. The SUV, found with bullet holes marring the exterior, rear-ended another vehicle, Claremont Police said.
The 33-year-old driver who was stabbed was hospitalized. His condition is not immediately known. The stabbing occurred at an unknown location prior to the collision. It is unclear if a suspect has been identified. Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor CLAREMONT - A couple of heels were arrested September 30, part of a group of suspects who smashed their way in and stole shoes from a store, police said. Andrew Simon, a 41-year-old Pomona man, and 26-year-old Chanelle Hall of La Quinta were caught carrying shoes at Yale Avenue north of First Street. The store burglarized was Authentix Sneaker and Clothing Botique, Claremont Police said. A vigilant caller reported the group of burglars around 11:44 p.m. Saturday. Officers found a glass panel was smashed at the store, 143 Harvard Ave. The rest of the group fled south on College Avenue across the railroad tracks. They have yet to be found, Claremont Police said.
“The Claremont Police Department is trying to identify the other suspects involved in the burglary. They are only described by witnesses as black males in their late teens,” Claremont Police said.
