The unidentified suspect was seen by an officer arriving to investigate a burglary alarm call at Hendrix pharmacy, 137 N. Harvard Ave., in The Claremont Village Around 2:30 a.m. The suspect was walking away from the pharmacy and ran from the officer who attempted to stop him, according to the Claremont Police Department. The suspect was caught a short distance from the pharmacy. The suspect shattered a glass door to enter the pharmacy where he allegedly stole lottery tickets, promethazine and other medications, reportedly found in the suspects backpack. The suspect was booked on suspicion of commercial burglary, Claremont Police said. The California Highway Patrol reports a Sig Alert affecting blocked lanes at the Towne Avenue offramp will last until possibly 8 a.m. The trailer overturned around 4:19 a.m. November 4 after the semi slammed into a hill at the right shoulder. it is unclear if anyone was injured in the crash. |
