The crash on Mt. Baldy Road at North Padua Avenue was dispatched to firefighters at 4:43 p.m. May 13. Claremont Police became aware of the body after the California Highway Patrol transferred a 9-1-1 call around 9:48 a.m. The body was found about 100 feet over the side of the road, according to Lt. Mike Ciszek of the Claremont Police Department. The body was near the Potato Mountain Trailhead. A vehicle was parked near where the body was located, but Ciszek did not know if the vehicle was connected. It is unclear if any foul play is suspected. The body has yet to be identified. |
