LA PUENTE - Possibly two suspects are outstanding Friday night after a man was shot to death in a La Puente neighborhood.

The shooting was reported to deputies around 8:01 p.m. in the 17300 block of Hurley Street, December 10. A Hispanic man was found wounded by gunfire. He died at the scene, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau.

While the information bureau states that there was no suspect information available, and earlier crime broadcast described two males leaving the area after the shooting.

It is unclear, though, if those two meals seen leaving the area are connected to the shooting. Deputies described the weapon as possibly being a black semi automatic handgun.

LA PUENTE – Homicide detectives are working to determine what led to the death of a man early Tuesday morning.

The death was reported in the 800 block of North Hacienda Boulevard around 6:25 a.m. The victim, described as an adult male, was declared dead at the scene, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau.

The apparent cause of death was not disclosed yet by investigators.

Los Angeles County firefighters were dispatched to the location at 6:24 a.m. to a medical emergency call near a donut shop, but no other information is available.

One Dead, One Critically Wounded in La Puente Double Shooting

UPDATE, 9:13 a.m.: The man fatally wounded by gunfire early Sunday morning was described as being in his 20s. He was hit by multiple gunshots to the upper torso, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau.

​The other victim, also a man in his 20s, was struck by multiple rounds of gunfire in the lower torso and one leg. He is expected to survive.

​Investigators revised the location of the shooting after finding evidence that the shooting took place at Allen J. Martin Park, 14830 East Giordano St.

Deputies with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Industry Station were originally called to the area for a report of gunfire and when they arrived they found both victims.

LA PUENTE - Two men were shot Sunday morning, one of them fatally, in a La Puente neighborhood.

The shooting took place around 1:50 a.m. September 5 in the 700 block of Greenberry Drive. The victim who survived the shooting is in critical condition at an area hospital, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau.

It is not yet publicly clear if the man fatally wounded by gunfire died at the scene, or at a hospital.

Detectives Seek Additional Victims of Accused La Puente Child Molester

LA PUENTE – Charges were filed recently against a man accused of repeatedly molesting a child in 2001 after befriending a family through a La Puente church.

The victim spoke to deputies at the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Industry Station December 4, 2018 about the allegations. Detectives with the Sheriff’s Special Victims Bureau arrested the suspect August 23 near his La Puente home, according to the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.

The suspect was identified as 44-year-old Sergio Quintanilla.

The victim told detectives that the molestation occurred when he was 8 or 9 years old. The suspect, who was an adult at the time, befriended the family at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness church campus, according to the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.

The alleged molestation occurred over six to eight months, according to the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.

“The suspect continued to be an active member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness in the City of La Puente church organization until recently,” according to the Sheriff’s Information Bureau. “The suspect’s participation in the church organization provided him access to church youth on campus and during youth activities.”

The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office filed one felony count of continuous sexual abuse of a child and one felony count of sodomy of a person under 14 years of age, according to the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.

The suspect’s bail is set at $450,000.

Coroner Names Man Found Shot Behind the Wheel in La Puente

LOS ANGELES – The victim found shot inside a vehicle in La Puente August 23 and who later died was identified recently.

Peter Guerrero, 48, was identified by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner.

Deputies responded to the 1000 block of Hacienda Boulevard around 8 p.m. August 23. They located a man wounded by gunfire, sitting in the driver seat of a vehicle. He was transported to a hospital for treatment but died there, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau.

It is not yet clear if investigators learned the circumstances that led to the shooting, or if they have a description of a possible suspect.

UPDATE, 2:28 p.m., Aug. 24: The victim of the shooting in La Puente Monday night died after being shot inside of the vehicle, according to the Los Angeles county sheriffs department.

​Deputies from the Los Angeles county sheriffs industry station who were responding to her report I have an assault with a deadly weapon found at the 48 year old victim in the driver seat of a vehicle that was parked on the street.

​A suspect is still at large.

​Man Dies After Shooting, Collision in La Puente Tuesday

LA PUENTE – Detectives are searching for a suspect and motive in a fatal shooting that claimed a man’s life August 3.

The driver, only described as a man in his 30s, suffered gunshot wounds to his upper torso. He crashed at Valley Boulevard and Trafalgar Avenue and injured multiple people in the collision, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau.

Deputies with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Industry Station responded to the scene at 12:45 p.m.

The victim was hospitalized and later died from his wounds, according to the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.

“It should be noted that after the victim was shot, he continued driving and collided with another vehicle,” according to the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.

The other injured people were hospitalized for injuries considered not life threatening.

Two Shot at, One Wounded in La Puente Saturday Night

LA PUENTE - Deputies are searching for a motive in the late night shooting July 31 that left one person wounded, but in stable condition.

The shooting took place just before midnight in the 400 block of North Tamar Drive. A suspect in a white sedan opened fire on two people. One person was struck and taken to a local hospital, according to Lt. James Long of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Industry Station.

The male victim struck by gunfire was hit with a single bullet.

It is too early to tell the motive for the shooting, Long told SGV CityWatch.

Detectives from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Operation Safe Streets Bureau are handling the investigation.

LA PUENTE - Detectives are investigating the circumstances behind the shooting death of a man in La Puente Tuesday night.

A man was discovered wounded in the area of Amar Road and Del Valle Avenue just before 8:50 p.m. June 15, by deputies responding to a call of a person down, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau.

The man found wounded on a sidewalk died at the scene, according to the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.

According to earlier Sheriff’s Department radio traffic, there was apparently no witnesses to the shooting. No suspect description was given.

​Investigators do not know yet if the shooting is gang related.

Victim Critical, but Stable After La Puente Shooting

LA PUENTE - A gunshot victim is recovering in a continuing wave of violence plaguing the La Puente area.

The gunshot victim was found with multiple wounds in the 15000 block of Amar Road around 8:54 p.m. The victim was hospitalized and last listed in critical, but stable condition, according to Lt. Baker of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Industry Station.

There is no suspect description. A black sedan was seen fleeing the location, Baker told SGV CityWatch.

It is not yet clear to Baker if this latest shooting is tied to other acts of violence in the area.

A gunman in a dark-colored sedan fired at, but failed to wound a man in a green GMC pickup truck at Willow Avenue and Francisquito Avenue Saturday, May 15.

A suspect in a dark-colored sedan wounded a bicyclist in his left foot in the 500 block of Millbury Avenue just after 7 p.m. Saturday, May 15.
