SAN DIMAS - Two women accused of shoplifting Costco briefly struggled with employees before fleeing Sunday, a Sheriff’s sergeant said.
It was not immediately known what merchandise was being taken, but as the women were leaving the Costco, 520 N Lone Hill Ave.,, employees attempted to stop them. Everyone struggled over the merchandise before loss prevention was able to get it back, said Sgt. Terrance Smith of the San Dimas Sheriff’s Station.
Deputies were called to Costco around 3:30 p.m.
“One of the suspects did drop a wallet with her ID, so we have some information on who it is and [our deputies] will follow up,” Smith said.
No one was injured.
The suspects, identified as a Hispanic woman and white woman, were seen fleeing towards the railroad tracks to the east of Costco.
