Huntington Dr. One vehicle on Primrose attempting to cross Huntington was struck by an eastbound vehicle, according to Lt. Daniel Verna of the Monrovia Police Department. Neither driver was under influence of alcohol, Verna said. There was brief confusion as a Monrovia Police parking officer reported a possible DUI driver who drove around a barrier set up for the Monrovia Holiday Parade just a few blocks from the collision, Verna said. Officers thought the crash and DUI driver were connected since they occurred at virtually the same time, Verna said. The driver was followed, stopped at Magnolia and Huntington Drive and found to be under the influence. She was promptly arrested.
