SAN DIMAS - A roughly three-acre brush fire was stopped after posing a threat to homes, the Los Angeles County Fire Department said Wednesday.
The fire was reported around 9:49 a.m. near the southbound 57 freeway to 71 freeway interchange October 16. Firefighters announced forward progress on the Fire was stopped around 10:14 a.m., according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
The Canadian-manufactured Super Scoopers were called, but have since been cancelled.
A two-hour Sig Alert was issued for the No. 2, 3, and 4 lanes of the south 57 north of Via Verde for firefighters to work, the California Highway Patrol said.
