Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor SAN DIMAS - A $10,000 reward will be considered by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect or suspects involved in the hate crime vandalism. Supervisor Kathryn Barger will ask the Board of Supervisors to consider the reward. "These are blatant symbols of hate and violence that have a serious and troubling impact on everyone in our community,” Barger said. “Those responsible should be held fully accountable for their actions.” Swastika symbols were etched into the synthetic lawn of a residence in the 1400 block of Greenhaven Street and onto the southbound and northbound lanes of Valley Center Avenue near the Metrolink railroad tracks.
Deputies believe the vandalism occurred between 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 3 and 8:30 a.m. Thursday, April 4. Detectives have not yet received viable clues regarding the crime, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s San Dimas Station. Anyone who has information on a suspect or suspects is urged to call the San Dimas Sheriff’s Station at 909-450-2700. Information can be provided anonymously by calling L.A. Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). |
