Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor COVINA - A woman arrested April 27, along with two men, on prostitution and narcotics charges was re-arrested April 28, Police said. Teri Burress, 33, was arrested April 28, caught in the same hotel, the Vanllee Hotel and Suites at 1211 E. Garvey St., around 2:15 p.m. where she was arrested one day prior. She was arrested Tuesday during a followup investigation, Covina Police said. Burress, a transient, is accused of offering prostitution to Freddy Jesus Sanguino, 44, Covina Police said. Officers arrested Burress and two other men April 27 after receiving a tip around 10:50 a.m. of narcotics activity at the hotel. One of the men associated with Burress, Forestt Zane Woodland, 25, was detained after he allegedly sprayed graffiti on a pole on Garvey Avenue.
“Woodland was detained and in possession of burglary tools, heroin, cocaine, Ecstasy pills and related paraphernalia,” Covina Police said in a written statement. Chase William Byer, 21, was also detained by officers and was found in possession of methamphetamine, syringes and other drug paraphernalia, Covina Police said. Both men, also transient, admitted to staying in a room where Burress was staying, Covina Police said. |
