CityWatch Editor IRWINDALE - A man was found dead Wednesday under the 210 freeway in the northern portion of Irwindale. First responders were called around 1:44 p.m. regarding a man found unresponsive on a dirt access road near the Bradbury flood control channel under the 210 freeway in the 2300 block of Central Avenue. Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics declared the man dead at the scene, according to the Irwindale Police Department. Irwindale detectives are determining what led up to the man’s death, while investigators with the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner are determining the cause. Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor IRWINDALE - The bodies of a man and woman were found inside of a Ford Econoline van that was taken to an Azusa tow yard Wednesday.
A Jan’s Towing employee discovered the man’s body around 12:30 p.m. once the vehicle was taken to the tow yard, 1045 W. Kirkwall Rd., in Azusa, April 26. Irwindale officers arrived, searched the vehicle and discovered the body of a woman, according to the Irwindale Police Department. The vehicle was towed from an Arco gas station At 110 E. Longden Rd. at the request of the property owner. Irwindale police detectives conducted investigations at the tow yard and at the gas station. Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics formally declared both the man and woman dead at the scene. The cause of death will be determined by the Los Angeles County coroner. Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor IRWINDALE - An Azusa man was killed when his 2015 Honda Accord struck a median and crashed into a palm tree early Saturday morning.
Rigoberto Nunez, 20, was identified by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner. He died from blunt traumatic injuries. His death was ruled accidental. The coroner case is deemed closed and investigators did not list any drug or alcohol intoxication as potential contributing factors. Nunez was southbound on Irwindale Avenue south of Central Street around 12:40 a.m. Saturday March 25 when the crash happened. Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics declared Nunez dead at the scene, according to the Irwindale Police Department. Nunez was the Honda’s only occupant. No other vehicles were involved.
