AZUSA - Sheriff’s Homicide Detectives are investigating what led to a triple shooting that took the lives of two men and wounded another January 8.
The shooting occurred in the neighborhoods behind Charles H. Lee Elementary School where two men were pronounced dead at the scene. One was taken to an area hospital, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau.
Azusa Police summoned firefighters to the first reported gunshot victim at 10:11 p.m. to the 500 block of North Rockvale Avenue. Another patient was located in the 700 block of East 5th Street at 10:22 p.m., according to Dispatch Supervisor Miguel Ornelas of the Los Anfeles County Fire Department.
Firefighters then respond to the 600 block of North Rockvale Avenue for another shooting victim.
The condition of the hospitalized man is unknown.
